The issue with this office is not the medical professionals, it's the staff, specifically, the front line office staff. My husband constantly has issues with his prescriptions running out because the office doesn't respond to requests from the pharmacy. Last week they called us to come pick up a script, and when I arrived, no one had any clue what I was talking about. I waited a half hour for them to write it (thank goodness I knew what I needed). Today I arrived for a Wellness Appointment I made 6 weeks ago. I had originally had an appointment at 10:00a.m. about a month ago that the office moved; we re-scheduled for today at 11:00a.m. I took a day off figuring I would get this done and do other things as well. Thought it was a little odd I didn't get a confirmation call, but was too busy yesterday to really think about it. Walk in at 11:00a.m. and was told, rudely, that my appointment was for 10:00a.m. and I would have to be rescheduled. The receptionist turned her back on me when I tried  to explain this was probably the old appointment time. Other than the disorganization, there is a complete lack of customer service in this office.Take my advice and don't start with Long Island Family Medical! To get to the doctors, who are competent and friendly, you have to get through the staff! And yes, we are looking for a new physician! I'll have to check Yelp!!
