        I recently hired Saugherties Carpet to install stair runners on two sets of stairs in my new house. I've been dealing with a variety of vendors lately, and most have been flaky and uncommunicative. Kevin and Stephanie at Saugherties Carpet are the exact opposite. I knew the kind of carpet I wanted, but it was hard to procure. Stephanie helped source it for me. And Kevin made special arrangement to install it quickly. My stairs are so pretty now, and the carpet really warms up my house. I'm so pleased I hired this company, and I highly recommend them. They're friendly and professional, and they did a great job.         I contracted Saugerties Carpet to carpet my stairs and hallway recently. The quote process was upfront and clear. Kevin helped me pick the best product for my purposes, and within my price range. The guys showed up nice and early on the morning they were scheduled. They were courteous and professional while they were working. Since they had already come to measure beforehand, they worked efficiently and were done swiftly. I am so very pleased with the quality of the carpet, the workmanship, and the professionalism of the team who was here. It also made me happy to use a local small business, versus a big box style corporation.
