As a B2B company, it doesnt get much better than the Commissary with its multiple kitchen stations and a variety or equipment to use. The building is in the heart of Rochester and already helping so many businesses in need of a licensed kitchen. I love the locked food and personal equipment storage cages and that theyre all on wheels for easy mobility. Its also very spacious and allows a multitude of different businesses working in the same area at the same time. Each station and piece of communal equipment can be signed up for and rented to gain formal access. I hosted an event at The Commissary that was highly successful. This unique space was perfect for an open, networking reception and allowed infinite space in a nice setting. It was also a great tool to engage people at the event to see the space and get a tour of the kitchen.
The Commissary is an amazing local food incubator that gives people the support and opportunity to start and grow their own business. I highly recommend trying the food at the Commissary and supporting their work! Worth stopping by the next time you are in downtown rochester!

The Commissary gives me the ability to operate a food business legally. Which is a huge deal. There are all kinds of awesome commercial equipment on site, so that you can really scale up your processes without a ton of overhead, like I would need to pay in my own place. It's a great stepping stone for those who are transitioning from Hobby to real-deal. Plus the kitchen manager is super knowledgeable and always willing to help you out in a pinch.
