I'd back up everything said in the other 1 star reviews. Terrible property management company.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! The good is these lofts are beautiful and unique. They are fairly spacious and have cool architectural features of an older building. That's where the good ends. The walls that are drywall are practically non-existent and you can hear EVERYTHING through them. There is very little privacy. Be aware that the elevator designated for residents has been down for over a year and the second that's used for businesses, Catholic Family Services and residents is also down on a regular basis. Buckingham acts like there's nothing they can do but they own the building. They also lie to residents about the status of when/if the elevators will be fixed (they will likely reply that they don't lie...). Also the elevators broke on a regular basis even before COVID. There have been a slew of building managers, many of whom didn't bother to respond to complaints. The most recent building manager is very responsive which is a nice change but that really should be the norm not the exception. They also recently hired security guards for the lobby (M-F days) which is an improvement for tenant safety but not before there were multiple assaults, and many people moved out. The same goes for putting the fob entrance on the garage. On the weekends there is no security guards in the building so the lobby is a free-for-all for drug use, smoking, sleeping, sex etc. Most dogs in the building are pleasant but be aware they do not screen dogs at all for breed, size or temperament. So there have been multiple dogs with behavioral issues in the building (dogs that can't be on the elevator or hallways with other people or other dogs). There has been at least one dog attack another dog and a dog attack a person. My guess as to why there aren't more negative reviews is people don't want to get blackballed.

DO NOT live here. Sure, the apartments themselves are beautiful and affordable; this does not, however, make up for the fact that you take your life into your own hands just exiting or entering where you live. The neighborhood had its characters when I first moved in, likely due to the RTS Hub being located right next door, but over the past year the block has completely tanked. The property management company clearly only cares about filling commercial rental space without any thought of impact on their residents. For example, The Catholic Family Center that this building also houses has bulletproof glass around their secretarys desk (dont worry, thats the only handicapped entrance to the building: good luck!!). Their drug rehab program cant be working very well because the sidewalks are littered with needles and empty drug baggies and you can watch drug deals occur daily: not just outside but in the lobby of the building, too! Joy! But wait, theres more! A mini mart has opened in the lobby that attracts everyone from The Catholic Family Center and the RTS hub and gives them a place to gather, beg residents for money, and pedal drugs. Ive been followed to the elevator by people asking for money. People camp out on the stoops and get aggressive with residents. There was a stabbing on the corner a couple weeks ago. Want to have guests? Hopefully they feel safe waiting outside while you come let them in, because the intercom system has not worked for well over a year and a half. Its not just the neighborhood: thin walls, poor water pressure, and chronically broken elevators are other perks of living here. Internet is included, but the routers are located in the hallway not in unit, so even streaming Netflix is difficult. The back door to the building (the one right next to the mailboxes) is frequently propped; in fact there is a sign asking for the door to be propped. Multiple tenants have had packages stolen in spite of this high tech security system. But hey, at least Buckingham installed speakers that blast bird sounds 24/7 in the garage. That should keep the building safe.

I lived here for four years and loved my apartment (and the parking garage). I had a beautiful view of downtown Rochester, maintenance was always very prompt, and monthly utilities were reasonable. Sure, the walls are a little thin, but that's apartment living.
