    I called customer service at 10:53am today to cancel and cash out my policies.  I moved away from NY and the company does not have reps in the area.  When I last spoke to them they said they would have someone reach out to me to "service the policy"  I just kept getting phone calls asking when I could meet with a rep... In NY... Where I moved from in 2015...  Eventually they stopped calling/making an effort to "service the policy".  I decided that since I have a new policy that is 20x the one I have thru National, I would cancel and cash out the policies I had.  After being told the wait time was 21m I waited ~35m for someone to pick up.  When they did, the woman took my info and told me basically cancelling policies wasn't her department and would transfer me.  53m later, a woman picked up. I explained what I wanted and the call was shortly there after disconnected.  I called back and was told my wait time would be 17m.  After 25m the line was picked up but no one said anything or responded to my "hello"'s. I got the menu again asking me to pick a number and was told my wait time would be 19m.  After ~22m a gentleman picked up.  I told him what I was trying to do and he told me he would transfer me to someone who could help me......  Another ~40m later a woman picked up.  I told her what I was trying to do and she asked for my policy number. I gave it and she told me she couldn't do anything with NY Policies..... and would transfer me to someone who could...  It is now 2:15pm and I am still on hold.  I do not and would not recommend this company to anyone.  This is a terrible waste of my time.

I'm very glad he did - It was a great refresher on what Nilico offers, what my policies cover and I took advantage of the Last Will and Testament that they offer at no charge. Chris is a very likeable guy and seems passionate about his work. It was a pleasure getting to know him.

    Buyer beware, NILF is not an accredited company. I did not realize this until after I signed on with them. But stayed with them anyway, unfortunately. It's nothing but a hassle in every way to deal with this company. They can't keep anything straight...one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Constant miscommunications and crossed messages. Not worth it, get your insurance elsewhere.

    Incredible place to work, I have been be with the company for just over a year ago and I find that I grow as a professional and a person every day. I see NILICO as my one and only career for me. NILICO'a honest and upfront business model creates very satisfied clients and devoted employees.

    It started off with my friend referring me and they nonstop called my phone until I agreed to meet with them. After thinking I could give them a shot, not even a year later I tried to cancel and they kept one policy open when i wanted to cancel it all. I didn't realize they had kept charging me until about a year later when I called again to cancel and this lady that I talked to had told me that she would refund me for the whole year which was almost $400. So a month later I didn't receive the check that she had told me I would get and I also got another charge on my card which had made my bank account go negative. So after calling for the third time, they tell me I will only get refunded for this months charge. So I explained my previous call to them and he told me his supervisor didn't approve of that refund and that's why I won't be receiving it. Also to point out that no one ever told me I had to sign something in order to cancel. (because I've canceled a total of 3 times now) This insurance place is a scam and a rip off. I can't even talk to someone in charge who knows what they're talking about, Every phone call I seem to get a different answer.Writing this review because I have never had such trouble with any company when trying to cancel and get my money back. Don't fall for this company
