Douglas and his team at Hudson Cabinetry did a fabulous job building us a custom cabinet. We were thrilled with the quality of his work and the efficiency with which he handled our project. We have been using one of our bedrooms as an office, for years. We seemed to always have clutter and disordernot a good thing in a space dedicated to clear, sound thinking! We needed more storage space and a clean look that would play well as background on Zoom calls. Douglas visited our apartment and offered his advice. He prepared plans and accepted suggestions on how to improve them. As we moved forward, we made a couple mistakes. Doug noticed them and helped us correct them before they became problems. On the day of installation, Douglas and his team showed up on time and with everything they needed to do the job. They were polite and as clean and quiet as is possible when creating new furniture. They worked steadily through the day and in the early afternoon our cabinet was ready for final touch up and adjustments. We now have a huge amount of new space. Three closets and many roomy drawers have allowed us to generate space across all our other storage areas. The color and handles are perfectjust what we wanted. We paid exactly the quoted cost and felt that wed gotten a great deal given the value we received. We highly recommend Hudson Cabinetry for your next project. We recently had the pleasure of working with Hudson Cabinetry Designs, and must say we were thoroughly impressed with their quality of work and excellent service. From start to finish, Doug and his team were incredibly thoughtful and attentive to every aspect of the design process. Doug took his time to understand our needs and what we wanted the kitchen to be as a center point for our new home. He was always available to answer any questions we had and provided us with valuable feedback throughout the process. This was particularly important because sometimes our choices would move us away from the original concept and design. However, Doug always had the final design and product in mind, and the final product and design came out as intended. In terms of installation, Caesar and his team were professional and efficient. They did an excellent job with the installation, and we got what we paid for in terms of quality, durability, professional installation, and communication. They left us with a care package and directions on how to keep it looking beautiful, which was a nice touch. We appreciated their honesty and responsiveness in emails, phone calls, and texts. They were always available to answer any questions or address any concerns we had, which made the process so much easier and stress-free. Overall, we highly recommend Hudson Cabinetry Designs for anyone looking for quality work and excellent service. They designed, built and installed extensive custom cabinetry, including the most fabulous kitchen cabinetry that is both functional and beautiful. Pure class. I called Doug at Hudson Cabinetry Design early in the process of commissioning a 15-foot built-in, floor-to-ceiling media wall unit. He was incredibly generous with his time, spending about an hour discussing our goals and his company's capabilities. We ended up hiring a different company with a lower quote. But progressing the project with them ended up being a huge struggle, and two months in, they just stopped responding. We quickly went back to Doug, and the difference in professionalism was striking. He was at our apartment the next day to take measurements, significantly improved on the other company's preliminary design, and gave us a reasonable work timeline that held. Doug also pointed out the inferior materials and fabrication proposed by the other company that had allowed them to quote lower. Throughout the process, Doug was very responsive and provided invaluable guidance. We had specific dimensional requirements to maximize storage for a vinyl record collection, while keeping aesthetics in line with our pre-war apartment. Doug always gave us a range of good options when it came to design choices, and was patient and accommodating through rounds of tweaks. We especially appreciated his candor when we floated ideas that he didn't think would work well. The installation teamCesar, Don Bolivar and Davidwere also fantastic. In addition to top-notch work with clear attention to detail (especially along our uneven ceiling and floor, and around existing mouldings), they were super friendly, tidy, and respectful of our home throughout the two-day job. It was a pleasure working with Hudson Cabinetry Design from start to finish. We hope to have an excuse to work with Doug and his team again.
