Unfortunately had an extremely rude experience with a cashier named Jillian I believe. Not sure what racist prejudice she had set on us, but she was already set on demanding ID in a condescending tone. After presenting a valid government-issued ID from Colombia, she insisted that it was not valid in the US. In such an international city, its absurd to completely invalidate a foreign official ID for a mere wine purchase. This is also an ID displaying 5 years above the legal drinking age in the USA. Ive never had this issue at this Trader Joes union sq wine location. The employees are usually very professional and friendly.

For the kosher consumer, this place has gone seriously down hill. Their selection of kosher products has been cut by more than 50 percent, and what they do have is buried among the non kosher wines. The kosher consumer has to search high and low through out the entire store hoping to find a bottle they can drink. Management (not the fantastic employees) has been totally dismissive about this to the point that customers are wondering if this is a deliberate attempt by some in management to discourage certain customers.

Great. Always great (except for a few REALLY old and tired employees). Nevertheless, the staff are relatively friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. And you CERTAINLY can't beat those prices!! So, bottoms up .

Best place for inexpensive wine. NYC is a tough place to find budget bottles of wine. Sure glad Trader Joe is here! Also, employees and friendly and helpful.
