IESI - Progressive Waste Solutions

We have been a client of IESI for year but on the past months with the new regulations the service has suffered to the point that we are urgently looking for a new company.

At the beginning of March, we started having an average of two days a week without garbage pickup and/or debris being left in front of the store. Since we had been a customer for 20 years and never experienced these problems before, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and often cleaned up the storefront ourselves. However, I decided to just call the company to make them aware of this ongoing problem. After that, the service actually got worse...three straight days without a pickup. So, I reached out to a manager. He was courteous and understanding and ensured me it wouldn’t happen again. As of the next day, the garbage was still out front as customers began coming in, so I called again and mentioned that the Department of Sanitation was nearby and that we could be fined. The manager said he would take care of it that day. After three more hours, no one showed up, so I called again and that time he said, “There are no trucks in the area. What do you want me to do?” I was frustrated enough that I left a voicemail directly with the CEO, . asking that he please call me back himself. Instead, his secretary called me a week later and then after that, a regional manager, though neither of them understood the details of the situation to be able to offer solutions. To be honest, it didn’t matter by then because I had already made the decision to switch to a new sanitation company, which by the way, ended up being $75 a month less than IESI for the same services, as did all of their other competitors that I contacted.

Great service and my sales person always gets any issues resolved immediately.

I have had nothing but exceptional service from IESI. Even during circumstances where we needed larger items dumped and taken off-site, they have worked with us to avoid having to rent a dumpster.

worst company to deal with. My rep can never be reached, and will never call back. More than once they don't pick up the waste. Horrible customer service.
