I am so impressed with this place. My name is James Biberi, I'm an actor and I recently rented some equipment from them for a music video shoot. They were so helpful in picking out the gear and showing me how to use it. I felt like they really cared. Love these guys!!! James Biberi

I will never do business here again and I encourage anyone looking to rent to go elsewhere. There is too much competition in NYC to receive the pathetic level of customer service we received from the OWNER OF THE COMPANY. My business partner spent a solid hour trying out the equipment we needed to rent for a shoot and had a generally pleasant experience...and then the next day when we attempted to complete the transaction, the owner (of all people) turned into some lightweight version of Gordon Gecko, demanding unreasonably specific references and a seemingly whimsical requirement for my partner to properly credit himself on the independent production we are shooting. We had the needed insurance policy plus a reference (from Adorama) but apparently that wasn't good enough for the owner of this second-tier-mom-and-pop outfit and he refused to finalize our business deal. When my business partner called back to politely request that the owner reconsider and approve the deal (we confirmed insurance, the reference, and the assurance that the equipment was in good hands), the owner lashed out at him with a low-level threat of "don't waste my time" before rudely and curtly ending the conversation!I would like to note that the front of house employee, Zach, was entirely professional and well-mannered and tempered, unlike his incendiary and volatile boss/owner.In the aftermath I calmly called back and spoke to Zach to let his boss know that I would be submitting a negative review due to this experience and the boss had the AUDACITY to email my business partner with a sarcastic and challenging email [Attached for your shock, awe, and entertainment].We will never again do business with Hello World. I would like to end with providing links to a few other rental companies with whom we have done business who are both friendly and professional and are 100% superior options in this landscape.handheldfilms.comadorama.com

Ron and his team at Hello World always go above and beyond when I need equipment. If I ever request an item they don't have they gladly source it for me. Ron has made himself available to me even beyond business hours to ensure our needs were met. I will always keep them in my equipment rental Rolodex.
