I'd like to give this restaurant an A+ but the server, seemingly having just transferred from a burrito joint in the village, was, shall I say, not up to the level of the cuisine. Having stopped in for a quick sushi lunch I was immediately confronted with this rude young man's attitude. While this was certainly not my first time in a sushi restaurant the waiter still seemed to find it necessary to explain the lunch menu to me as though I was less than literate.
The salad was superb, served in a chilled clay bowl with a wonderfully tart dressing. The sushi was presented on the plate with nothing less than perfection. Having completed this dazzling meal I then tried to extract my check from the now absent waiter. Since I was only one of two patrons dining at the time I just wasn't sure why my signals were not registering. After putting on a little show at the adjoining table whose motive seemed to be, "don't forget the tip" the waiter tossed the check on the table as if it were a dead fish.
The service from this oddly self-centered waiter was less than abysmal. I do hope management has sent this young man packing as I would love to return to enjoy another selection from their menu - a lunch that might cost twice as much if ordered for dinner.
