I've bought a leather clutch, a leather handbag, and sandals here. All are staples in my wardrobe, for their simplicity and elegance. My credit card was screaming but I told her to deal with it because all these items were long-term investments !Update- last time I walked by they were closed ?? Mid-2014 that is.

For an hour or so I played Cinderella. Jubilee captured my heart a long time ago when I stopped to take a peek before going to Eve next door. I oohed and ahed over the cute shoes. Finally after several weeks of flirtation, I made the plunge and bought two pairs of beautiful Chocolat Blu T-strap pumps (Odessa in camel and Odette in rust). Their shoes are extremely well-made, comfortable, and classically chic. I love that the shoes have solid, tough rubber soles that properly grip the floor and won't send you slipping and falling on your rear, but have dainty, demure, elegant uppers. Put me in some killer shoes and I can take over the world.

Every time I walk into this place I feel like I am in a trance, all the shoes scream buy meeeee...take out our credit card....over here, you know you want to take me hoooome. I have yet to come up with a good strategy that will save my budget. The last time I was here I bought three pairs of boots! Some time I just stand outside the window and drool like a homeless person. I just wanna warn you if you have feet, and you have estrogen it will be hard to resist Jubilee. I am sure that's some ancient evil word for cute shoes you can't resist.

I actually used to shop here fairly often, but recently I had one of the worst shopping experiences I've had.  I bought a pair of shoes and one of the shoes had a part of the button portion that had fallen off.  I was told it could be easily fixed by a cobbler for $5.  I went to the place that they recommended, where I was told the button was missing a part so it couldn't be fixed.  I went back to Jubilee to return it where one of the employees, Musa, in the rudest way imaginable, told me that's not what he said and whatever the other employee told me when I bought it didn't matter because he didn't tell me that.  When I mentioned they both work here so they're responsible, he told me it doesn't matter and I can't return them.  All the while accusing me of being in the wrong.  I was politely trying to explain the situation but he was being so confrontational and aggressive that I broke down in tears.  Finally, another employee came out and very nicely handled the situation, but even as I was leaving Musa, completely unapologetic, accused me of not listening to his explanation.  I really liked this store but I will never shop there again as long as that man works there.  Yelpers beware, Musa represents the worst of customer service and just being a nice human being.

Now this is a shoe store to which I can relate!  It's in the heart of shoe mecca on 8th Street.  I was a man on a mission when I went here.  I had just purchased a new belt at the Ruehl store (yelp.com/biz/ruehl-new-y…) and was searching for a pair of boots to match.  I walked in and was greeted friendly and attentively.  As I pulled out the belt from my shopping bag, "I need a pair of hot boots to match this belt."  The woman seemingly chuckled and we began our quest together.  We started with Kenneth Cole and continued on in hopes of finding something.  Well, I ended up with a pair of amazing Paradox brown side-zip boots.  I had never heard of them before, but they are great.  I've had numerous compliments on them.  Anyway, the store is spacious with plenty of room to peruse and check out and try on shoes.  I highly recommend Jubilee to anyone looking for a solid pair of shoes.
