charming and authentic mexican food. an undiscovered gem in a small side street in the village. easily the best guac in NYC. and excellent margueritas too.

I like how it is in a hidden street. The space is great with a skylight. The guacamole is made fresh in large stone called molcajete. They ask you if you want it spicy or not. Lunch special comes with sangria. They make it strong so make sure you eat enough food, just be careful, I only get it on fridays.

We went under a $35 travelzoo voucher and got 2 drinks, an appetizer (calamari breaded in corn meal), and two entrees. So it was a definite steal. Would definitely recommend the molcajete which is meat and veges served in this hot stone bowl with rice, beans and tortillas on the side.

Excellent guac.. they make it fresh for every order.. the spices are just right! also tried their chese enchilada in three different sauces - all of which were quite delicious.. bar tender was nice enough to give us free tequila shots which was a nice touch. my friends ordered dislikes: a little expensive for the location and decor
