This is the least professional agency I have ever worked with. After being invited to a private event, upon arriving (merely 45 minutes after the start), we were alerted that the party had reached capacity. This was annoying, yes, but completely understandable, as the event was on a boat and there should be strict capacity regulations. We were welcomed to get a drink at the cash bar and wait an unspecified amount of time for "people to leave later." I asked if we would be contacted or alerted in any way when we could go to the side of the boat where the party was happening, the agency associate said no (we would be 10 feet away, mind you, and she had taken our information). When we asked if we could have a glass of the Chilean wine we came to try while we wait, on the side of the boat that had not yet reached capacity, she repeated herself that they could not accommodate any more people on the private party side of the boat. Regulations/capacity issues/event aside, the two women working the event on behalf of Colangelo & Partners made my friend and I feel like an inconvenience, when WE were the ones who had been invited. How Colangelo handled the situation was unaccommodating and rude. Having been a client to many agencies in the hospitality world, if I were their client and heard they had treated my guests the way we were treated, I would be extremely embarrassed.
