EMPKT PR

An absolute embarrassment, from start to finish. Very poorly written press releases. No clear campaign strategy, leading to a scattershot approach that basically amounted to spamming their list of media outlets. As they don't seem to have any relationships at the outlets they pitch to, their results were humorously unimpressive - podcasts with no listeners, web sites with no readers, blogs with no followers. For $4,000, you'd do better to buy a used car and drive around promoting your business yourself. Definitely not recommended. Stay away from this company.

Indie Scene Radio has been working with Beatrice, owner of EMPKT PR, from it's start and have been ever since! We've collaborated on several promotional projects for their clients such as Tracy Bonham, Blake Morgan, Jennifer Harper, The Wizbangs and more. EMPKT PR is one of our favorite firms to work with as they are very professional, passionate and always available. Highly recommended!

Working with EMPKT PR was very underwhelming. We actually did a great deal amount research to find a PR and Marketing Firm to market and promote my album. We had over 120 backers raise capital for the rollout of this album and used most funds to secure PR and Marketing for it. Out of everyone we interviewed, EMPKT seemed most interested in the project and even suggested we push the album back to give them adequate time and come up with a comprehensive plan to get it out there. We answered all their questions, filled out a long survey, uploaded assets and were excited to get rolling! All in all, it seemed like they were just spamming blog emails (you'd be better off doing that yourself). They gave a fair warning that they couldn't guarantee any placements but it didn't seem like they had any relationships with major outlets or outlets with some sort of decent fanbase. The features we did get barely had any engagement! The organic marketing we did on our own garnered way more attention towards the project. I don't think this place is good at marketing hip-hop music so if you need that, try somewhere else. Overall they did provide reports (some weeks) of the outlets they reached out to and I got one of my songs on a couple low level playlists so I won't give 1 star. But for $3500 we expected a little more hands on effort and strategy.
