Aldea met every expectation! It lives up to its 1 Michelin star and we’d give it a second. The food is made with love and you can taste it in every bite. Very good wine list. Our new top pick for intimate dining!

Tasting menu is definitely the way to go. The small attention to detail that is given in every dish, in the wine pairings is everything you’d expect from a renown Chef. Watching the kitchen work is a pleasure from the chefs table. Chef Mendes is a beast! Don’t be afraid to ask to speak with him, or have him sign his book for you. He made it personal and will always be a memorable experience. The salt cod is phenomenal, as were the sunchokes and caviar. Our waiter was very knowledgeable.

Wonderful modern Portuguese small plates and entrees with fantastic wines. What makes this restaurant soar is the attentive staff and calming ambiance. We can actually have quiet conversation. Has become our new favorite in the flatiron district.
