Dr. David T. Greenspun, MD

Dr. Greenspun was my surgeon throughout my entire breast reconstruction process after cancer. He is an excellent surgeon and I am very happy with my results. He is very busy, so sometimes you have to do the following up, but self-advocacy isn’t a bad thing. He considers what you want, and is honest about what kind of results you can expect. I’ve gotten to know him and his staff through the past three-year journey, and I highly recommend them.

I think Doctors are like lawyers if there is no money there is no help. I met with David Greenspun back in November at his office thank God that i had had insurance for the consultation. I found out that i had polands syndrome his office manager Allison was to find out if my insurance would cover a procedure to correct it. 3 weeks had passed and i did not hear back so i called i spoke to the office manger Allison again, she informed me that my insurance GHI would not pay for the procedure and that Mr Greenspun would call me back after the holidays because he was busy and that in most cases the doctor himself could speak to my insurance GHI to advocate for me, but i would have wait till after to holidays. I waited till after the Holidays I actually called a week ago in Feb 20 I guess his office met after (Presidents) day. I was told that he had been soooo busy elsewhere but at this point I knew he wasnt go to advocate me at all!!! I was told by Allison that Dr Greenspun doesnt think that GHI would approve of it and GHI was strict on certain things and I contact GHI myself huh? I am not mad that GHI wouldnt pay for my operation but the sheer fact is that the DR Greenspun couldnt even call me personally back himself but his office manager whom said that I have one shot at GHI covering my operation and that he would help me to wait and see if he could talk to my Insurance he did nothing. I was told not by the Doctor himself of whom a consultation is a couple of hundreds but by who the office manager.I guess the small hardworking people dont deserve a call back unless the good DR Greenspun feels if he cant make thousands off that its on to the next case SAD!!!!!! At least he could have tried or even showed some empathy to a patient and try and serve good on his word. Thank you David Greenspun you are a stand up guy.
