Cocina Economica Mexico

I've eaten here and have order delivery many times. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh. I've had mostly the tortas and cemitas, and love them both. The spicy fries are excellent, as is the avocado cornbread. Beware: some items (the cemitas) are spicier than others. The guacamole needs some salt to bring out the green, vegetal flavor of the fruit.

we were searching for an outdoors seating, but we couldn't find any, when the stimulating smell coming our of this restaurant captivated our bellies. the service is super fast and nice. The portions are exactly what you should eat, fulfilling but not super sized. The salmon omelet is delicious and came with salad an great potatoes, the huevos rancheros came with home made tortillas! the place is very nicely decorated, they play bachatas at a level that you can enjoy them and have a conversation without yelling.

We had another delicious dinner at Cocina Economica. It's by far the best Mexican food in the city. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors original and lively. We just found out that the restaurant is changing hands and morphing into a Thai restaurant. Not that there's anything wrong with Thai, but there are plenty of good Thai places and nothing that comes close to Cocina Economica (at least that I've found). Please join me in supporting La Cocina -- we don't want to see you go!

Great, affordable and authentic Mexican food. Everything about the experience here was perfectly executed, beginning with the water that is served as soon as you're comfortable in your seats. The food was all very fresh, and was served out very quickly. The space is small, boisterous and quite comfortable.
