I recently had a bilateral diagnostic mammogram and third mammogram done at the 61st St location for the first time. I was sent here by a breast specialist at NYP. I used to go to Lenox Hill Radiology at 66th St. before. People were nice, but the wait time was about 50 minutes. I got there about 15 minutes earlier, but that did not help. I waited in the waiting area first, then I was moved to a closet-like room, where I stayed and waited, and waited. My biggest complaint is the bill. They billed my insurance more than three times the price Lenox Hill Radiology bills. Both providers are in my network, I have the same insurance, same CPT codes for the procedures, but the price difference is huge. At Lenox Hill Radiology I paid for the same services last year in July $214.98 (bilateral mammograms to aid diagnosis), and $171.77 for third mammogram. Now I am being charged $1,389.66 for the same mammograms. This is insane. Are these medical providers allowed to charge as much as they want? It looks like they are. If you have a deductible, be prepared to pay $$$. I am not going back.

This is a top-notch imaging center. I was greeted warmly at registration, as classical music filled the waiting area. There was a charging area for mobile devices, complimentary bottled water, magazines & adult + kids coloring books. Waiting time was minimal. The nurse and technologist were also equally kind and professional. They kept me informed of what was going on at all times, so I wasn't wondering, "How long is this going to take?" Thank you, Weill Cornell for putting your patients first!
