The ambiance and service were amazing, especially the helpful locker room attendant. You can get the same baths but with saunas and good food as well and better massages for much cheaper at King Spa in New Jersey. At AIRE you are paying for ambiance and service.

Very romantic and clean spa !!! If u want to relax form a busy day in NYC Aire Ancient Baths is all u need !!!

What a true disappointment, especially for the price!! We were so excited to experience the baths until we arrived and realized that it was going to be a factory experience. You are barely greeted when you arrive. You are separated into gender locker rooms with little explanation of what to expect, accept don't take your towel. You're told that you can't take your phone, and only have a certain amount of time for the baths but no way of knowing how long you have been down there so we didn't even get to do all the baths we wanted to enjoy. When you get downstairs you're given a "group tour" with a couple other couples but can't hear anything the guide is saying because they are whispering and you are in a group. You're abruptly taken upstairs for your message, soaking wet. Initially we were told we'd be able to return to the baths but that was not the case. This could be such a nice experience if they didn't treat you like a number on a conveyor belt. And i wish the juice was offered at the end so i'm not having to carry around a drink I'm not ready for while it gets warm. We were lucky enough to get skilled message practitioners however that doesn't sound guaranteed.
