Had such a great meal and experience here a few months ago while in town visiting. Coming again next week and saw "closed" when trying to make a reservation on open table. Please tell me this is not true!!

The overall experience was so so. 1) the food was ok. A little on the tough side 2) the wait staff was slow 3)the waiter spoke in a very condescending tone Would not recommend a visit. With so many amazing choices in NYC you should not have to make this experience and should deserve proper service

Very disapointed. They made us feel very welcome at the begining and throughout until they presented us with the cheque. $241 (including an 18% tip) for two steaks, 1 shared side, starter and a bottle of wine recommended by the waiter. This seemed quite expensive for what we'd actually eaten but since the service to that point had been friendly we were happy. My fiance and I agreed we would pay extra to make the tip up to 20% but after giving $260 to the waiter and asking for some change his attitude and that of all of the restaurant staff was stand offish and quite honestly rude. We watched them for about 10 minutes discussing the bill and the tip and it was just outright awkward especially after we'd gestured to leave more than their recommendation. In the end they brought us the change after but their attitude had turned from friendly to downright rude. we left the restaurant and not a single one of them raised an eye brow to say goodbye or thank you. My fiance and I work in the airline industry in Europe and understand the importance of outstanding customer service from start to finish and this is something we simply just did not receive. Quite a shame!
