Sahib

This is the best curry in Murray Hill. I have tried many places but Sahib is by far the stand out restaurant. I have eaten take out from Sahib a lot of times but decided to go dine there last night with friends. The service was amazing and the food was on point. There were 5 of us at the table and we were all basically licking our plates clean. I highly recommend Sahib and I will definitely continue to dine here.

I have to change few trains to go to curry hill. It was our anniversary and instead of going to the really high end restaurant we read about this restaurant in Eater, and decided to give it a try. First of all the area is dead on Sunday afternoon . We were the only ones in the restaurant at 2:30, so we kind of liked that. We read a lot about this restaurant so we were prepared what to expect. Decor will get zero point. serving staff will get all five points. They were very helpful, provided suggestions. I read in few review that staff was rude, which was not the case for us.but sometimes language could be the barrier. Food was excellent . we ordered two appetizers . And both arrived the way it should. hot and delicious . In main course we decided to order what most of the reviewers were raving about, chicken kori gassi, Dumaloo, and I have to have dal. Kori gassi chicken was good but I did not find wow factor. Dum aloo potatoes were bit sweet for me, but recipe is surely authentic.no tomatoes or onions and garlic. Kashmiri Pundits don't use either in their cuisine. Food was real hot the way it should be. we were offered Kheer ( kind of rice pudding) for dessert cold thick and absolutely delicious . And I don't like milk or white rice. Will I come back to this restaurant? As I said it's trip for me but yes , absolutely. I still need to try their goat and lamb in my main course.
