James Corbett Studio is one of the friendliest and most professional hair salons in NYC. I’ve been a client for years. Oddly the review prior to mine is completely erroneous- the woman was writing about another salon- those accusations are mis-founded. I would highly recommend.

James and his staff are amazing! The most talented haircolorists, cutters, and stylists in Manhattan. I always feel renewed when I go there. I'm highly sensitive to chemicals which makes color challenging but James is an expert in that area and carries color, shampoos, facial products and makeup that are organic and/or free of common irritants.

I started coming to James Corbett Studio just before the pandemic hit and I returned shortly hair salons were allowed to operate. There are a trio of people that have made me smile and my hair look so much better and they are Tina, Sho and Antonello. Tina my lovely and wonderful colorist has taken my damaged and frizzed out hair to make it once again look normal. I don't wear it twisted in a pony tail, and I don't look like a Tabby cat that has just gotten out of the rain. Sho is a hair cutter perfectionist. My cuts last long and look great and he carefully considers what looks best for my hair type and face ( even with a face mask). Donatello washes and blow drys my hair in such a way that I wish that I had somewhere fabulous to go to. All and all this place is a true gem with such wonderful people who seem to love their jobs and are fantastic at what they do. Please visit if you can, you will be so happy that you did.
