Crunch Fitness - 34th Street

Decent gym but not worth the price imo. Water fountain seems to be consistently down along with amenities like sauna. Some of the trainers are good (I liked Nate) but seems to be hit or miss. I recently tried doing a training session with someone else for a push workout and despite mentioning this multiple times that I wanted to focus on chest and shoulders, I ended up being told to do back exercises and planks in my session which I found to be disappointing.

Im a member at Crunch in the city, but dont usually go to this one. A friend was in town, so I ventured here to join him for a workout. Everything was cool until I overheard the trainer nearby whispering about not being able to bring personal trainers in to the person he was working with, clearly directed at me. So apparently, two dudes chatting about an exercise and working out makes me a personal trainer. I jokingly and nicely said something to him that Im not a personal trainer, just working out with my buddy. He cant even say the words Im sorry. Or be bothered to explain himself. Those words go a long way. Extremely put off by the interaction. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Cant imagine what gets said by the trainers that I dont hear because I usually have headphones in.

You can absolutely tell it is the flagship store! Wonderful facilities and a great team working there!
