First Avenue Funeral Services

I must truly say a big thank you from the White family to Terry and his team from First Avenue Funeral Services. My family came from out of town to New York for one week to do finalize arrangements for my husband's father. There were many things we have not a clue on what to do; things outside of the funeral home services, but Terry was there with us guiding us right through the entire process. He was so pleasant and understanding. I even thought it was too much for him to help us through, but he did. Terry made this phase of our lives almost seamless. Less things for us to deal with and think through. He took our calls any time, or if he couldn't, rest assured he would have returned our calls. I would certainly recommend anyone to First Avenue Funeral Services. Thanks again Terry!

I pray to God that my family will never use this funeral home again on October 13 we had my brother service after the pastor of the church finish praying over the body. The gentlemen did not let the family walk my brother out my mother and his mother had no knowledge of the guy closing the casket without his mother saying her last goodbye. He was very rude and disrespectful. Then he left the body on the corner and ran back inside of the church, I dont understand what kind of funeral home they are running but when I use this for my Dad service, we had the old owner of the funeral home even though she was smoking and drinking she was very respectful and I loved person they charge us all this money, but dont have respect for the body and the family

The funeral home and the staff that were there for my aunts funeral service Dr. Valerie Gibbs did an amazing job! The young man and lady that worked the service were very very attentive and patient to all of our families needs as we were dealing with such a difficult loss. I would recommend First Avenue Funeral Services, because they made my daughter and I feel at home. If you are looking for a place to get support and comfort, then this funeral home is an excellent choice. They helped and supported us in our time of our grief.
