The service was exceptional, sat outside, took our time and ordered, did not feel rushed at all. Just walked in without a reservation. Had the black Angus filet mignon au piovre, roasted breast of long Island duck and spaghetti bolognese. More than enough for three people. Desert was the coconut panna cotta. Really enjoy being out again.

My college-aged daughter and I had lunch here before watching the pre-release of Roadrunner with Anthony Bourdain. It could not have been a more perfect day. It was rainy, so not crowded, and they sat us at the window with a beautiful Manhattan view of locals running between the raindrops. The staff was so accommodating, especially with us taking our time to make conversation and catch up. This place is so endearing without sacrificing quality or taste. Thank you for having us.

Really excellent staff, entertainment and interior with Josephine memorabilia. So happy to have met the owner who was a dishwasher when he inherited the restaurant from Josephine’s son. I hope they get lots of requests for more vegan options on the menu. The truffled mash potatoes and green beans are really yummy, vegetarian and they have pasta. Cheers to this charming place that keeps the legacy of this amazing woman alive and hoping to see more protections for our cultural treasures in HK, Midtown West because the Port Authority is being rebuilt and there will be more demolitions in the neighborhood.
