5 weeks and counting, waiting for someone at the Company to review my Family bounding claim.

Having filed for PFL and FMLA, I have to jump through hoops with these people... I’ve been out for 5 weeks from work, I was asked for a few pieces of information to get my claim accepted, the company has dragged it’s feet for 3 of the 5 weeks. I was out for the bonding of a newborn and it’s sad when I should have said screw it hunny you can take care of two kids at home alone in pain without me because I would atleast get paid. 5 weeks without a check and they’re still holding out on accepting my claim, if I could bring this up to a higher power I would; I’m deserving of money mandated by New York State; and yet they’re putting a family in poverty instead.

This company has been nothing but a nightmare to work with. The people you initially talk to are the only people that get more than a one star review. My company deals with these guys for Paid Family Leave, Disability Claims and more, and may I say that the fact that there is one single person who examines each and every claim is embarrassing... She’s never in her office; she won’t return any phone calls or emails. The other reviewer is spot on when they said this company isn’t worried about putting people into poverty. They won’t get around to reviewing cases so people out of work for weeks or months don’t get paid at all. Very unprofessional and terrible communication skills... But what do they care? They don’t read these reviews, I just hope that companies do; and don’t work with these people in the future unless they clean up their act.
