Mood Fabrics

I have been to this store numerous times and its the one place I can always count on finding exactly everything I need for my projects. Trims, buttons, appliqu fabric and so much more! I love the variety and service is top notch! Its never a hit or miss with mood fabrics!

Lots of variety, but they have a really archaic inventory system and the staff was extremely rude. I asked about where certain fabric types were the staff was just like idk.

4 stars for Mood because its organized, has variety, and is one of the few fabric stores left in the garment district.  5 stars for the ONE employee who offered to help and who actually helped get fabric down off the shelf. ( I think his name started with an "E."  He also offered to help with swatches)But ONE star for today's visit because of the two employees who literally would not cut fabric for me.  At all.  And I mean that.  I needed 5 yards of silk.  I found those yards.  And I had to leave empty handed.The two employees cut fabric for anyone and everyone else who showed up....but not me.  There was no excuse for that.  One of those employees actually helped me carry fabric over to the cutting table, told me there was one customer ahead of me, then NEVER helped me.  Every once in a while she turned around in the middle of cutting the fabric selections from one of the additional customers she took, and said 'sorry' or something like that.  But when she was finished, she'd look around, and reach to help---anyone else but me.   The second employee - the one in the white shirt - was even more useless and fake.I thought I was being pranked.  It wasn't crowded.  Was I the wrong color?  Did they not like the silk fabrics I spent an hour picking out?  It was like the two employees were competing to NOT SELL ME ANYTHING.  While occasionally being fake polite so they couldn't get in trouble.
