On 01/26/2008, Dr. Tran attempted to extract my wisdom tooth. I keep complaining about pain during the extraction. She gave me so many injections that I went into shock. My body temperature dropped and I was blacking out. She left me in the chair and went to work on other patients. She came back an hour or so later, gave me more injections and continue her attempt at extracting my wisdom. Again, I was in pain, she keeps giving me injections and my hands start to shake uncontrollably. This whole nightmare last over 5 to 6 hours. She gave up when the day was getting late and told me that she will leave the remaining part of the tooth. Dr. Tran said that my jaw bone will grow and cover it up; it will become part of my jaw, that it will not cause any problems in the future.
On 2/20/2008, Dr. Tran did fillings to cover up my receding gum line, two weeks later some of them fell out. When I told her about it, she asked me to come to her office and have them redone. This time she put some super white filling on my front teeth that made me look like a clown!
All the fillings Dr. Tran did fell out, I had another dentist redo every one the fillings a few month later.
A year later, the extraction site developed a very sharp pain. On 10/2009 the pain got so bad that I went to an Oral Surgeon, he immediately perform surgery and extracted the part of the tooth that Dr. Tran has left behind. An Infection has developed in that part of the tooth. Upon examining my x-ray, the Oral Surgeon informed me that I have developed Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD). The procedure took less than 30 minute.
At present, I continue to have pain in my jaw and the extraction site every day. The TMD has changed my life forever; I can't enjoy eating because it hurt when I chew. My speech has also affected by the TMD; people have a hard time understanding my speech. Dr. Tran removed so much gum tissue that the root of tooth next to the extraction site is exposed. I fear that I will lose this tooth in the near future.
I believed that my wisdom tooth did not need to be extracted in the first place; I had no problem with it. Dr. Tran lied and did it for profit.
She carries no Malpractice insurance, and is hiding behind Bankruptcy right now.
