        I contacted HelloTech to install a smart thermostat in my home. After 2 cancellation by the technician, I was assigned a new technician to complete the job. After installing the thermostat, my HVAC system began making a strange buzzing sound, the technician assured me the buzzing sound would stop. Later in the day, my HVAC system stopped working completely (in the middle of a heatwave). I contacted a local HVAC company to inspect the system. They stated, since the technician did not turn off the circuit in the fuse box. He likely fried the circuit board and ruined the system. Ultimately, a simple job turned into an incredibly expensive fix because of the HelloTech technician’s poor work.
