image The manager, Carly, and the rest of her team at NYKidsClub 67th Street are spectacular! My son has done a few semesters of Architects & Engineering with Miss Katie who is phenomenal, and he just loves it! Never wants to leave. We often stay for Open Play after our late afternoon class and all the teachers are sweet, engaging and energetic straight through closing time. Everyone truly goes above and beyond to ensure kids and parents are happy! I would trust anyone there with my infant or 4 year old, and feel so lucky such a wonderful place is so close to our home! Excellent programming, amazing teachers/staff, clean/bright facility.  Love, love, love!

image Note to everyone who reads these reviews that the manager to whom people refer in past posts is no longer at this location.  This NY Kids Club is one of the best run establishments for kids I've seen.  Not only are the coaches/teachers warm and amazing with the kids, the facility is fun, and my 2 year old son asks to go to "gym class" on a daily basis.  Also, every time I call, the admin (Carly) is just nice as can be and adds to the pleasant experience my family has there.

image Make up/ refund policy is not listed and rules are extremely strict. Would not recommend this place if you cannot predict your child's sleep schedule!!!   My child missed the first class bc he fell asleep and they would not refund me. Poorly run establishment. Did not even get to try the place.      I just joined gymtime which is amazing as well as TLB music. Both are great warm welcoming environments that do not act as if their facility is a country club. Their make up policies are great and if you aren't happy they will refund you. Luckily I loved both of those classes for my baby.

image I am writing to explain the terrible experience I just had with Meghan Collard, the director at NY Kids Club on 67th Street. I am shaking I was so upset. I signed up for an art class online for kids 14-18 months (my son is 12 months). I was allowed to sign up for this class online but then realized the description was not something he would like. I called and they told me I could switch to gym babies (5-13 months). I told them my son was very active and already crawling a ton so wanted him to be in the gym tots class (14-18 months). They told me to try gym babies and if I didn't like it they would switch me to gym tots (14-18 months). Well I just finished gym babies and the class SUCKED. It was basically tummy time (perfect for a 6 month old baby). So.. after class I told the director and she said I could not switch and I could not get a full refund. I explained everything to her and she said George has to be walking to be able to join the gym tots class. That is insane as not all 14-18 month old babies are walking. She then told me she had to ask the teachers if George was advanced enough to take the next class up but when I spoke to the teacher after class she told me it was up to the director. I understand there are rules but I was told I could switch classes. I NEVER would have signed up for a class that was for 5-13 month old babies. So now I can't get a full refund and I am just pissed off. I wanted to share my story.

image I have to say my child has been going to NYKC since this past September. She is currently enrolled in their 2s program and I have never found the class or the way the 67th street location is run to be a problem. The teachers are attentive and extremely caring with the kids. My daughter comes home singing songs and knows the alphabet, her colors and numbers and this program has helped her socialization skills with children her age immensely. I believe this is because the teachers are very sweet and nurturing towards the kids and also in a large part because of the environment there that is headed by Meghan, the manager. Meghan, is extremely helpful and assertive when it comes to getting back to the parents. Whenever I walk into the building my daughter runs to give her a hug before her class starts and before she leaves she runs to hug her good-bye. I read someone posted that she is "fake" that is so sad because only in NYC would one find someone who is smiley and cheerful to be "fake". Quite frankly, she is a delight to work with and is very accommodating. When I am on the run and was very pregnant, Meghan and the staff repeatedly told me not to worry in case I ran into labor and couldn't be there to pick up my daughter on time. They also constantly keep in touch with the parents to keep up abreast on our child's development in the program.  My daughter also attends their PJ parties, when she was on the younger side they even designated someone to be with her to make sure she was comfortable with a bunch of older kids. I trust Meghan completely and I truly believe children are an excellent judge of character and all the kids there seem to love her. Of course, there are always things that can be improved upon, for instance with timing and transitioning from different rooms when other classes are going on but this is not a hindrance to the quality of attention the children get when they are there.
