Black Hound is exquisite. The cakes are downright decadent. Whimsical and beautiful, the decorations are both fun and intricate. Personal-sized cakes are the perfect indulgence to share with a loved one after a meal, and large cakes are a show-stopper. Even their pie (apple) is fantastic — doughy crust and sweet-tart filling. Staff is cheerful and solicitous. Gourmet chocolates, insanely good cookies — you cannot go wrong with dessert from Black Hound. These people know their stuff.

Black Hound left us with bitter after taste.We ordered a cake for our son's engagement on a Friday morning. We phoned in the order to Debbie, specifying the design, from their web site, and the message on the cake. We also specified a written message for the engagement. The cake was delivered for $30.00!.. It was not the design which we had specified. It appeared to be done by a five year old. Yes, we have the photos. And there was no written message sent! Our son and fiancé did not even know who sent the cake. Her parents came in from out of town, and my son did even show, nor share the cake with them! The cake was thrown away. We called the next day, Saturday, and were told the owner would call us back. And we wee given the option of a refund. The owner never called back Saturday, or Sunday. We were told to call the 800#, because the owner always picks up - never happened. We called repeatedly Monday, still no return calls from the owner or Debbie. We called many times on Tuesday, finally Debbie called back late that afternoon. Debbie admitted all her mistakes, she took the order. We were told to have the couple travel to the bakery, and they could have a cupcake, and THEN they could our special message to them. This is unacceptable. They do not take pride in their products, they do not care about new customers, and they do not honor their word. This bakery is for the dogs.
