Malouf is great. Their New York show room is no exception. It looks very nice, and the people are very friendly. Great experience.

This Company has a misleading/ineffective warranty policy. The product description claims that it has a 15-year warranty - however, it does not cover your mattress if the product fails. In order to file a warranty claim for the mattress itself, you must show that both the mattress and the mattress protector were purchased same day on the same receipt. If you purchase this item from Amazon - you will not be covered by the warranty policy unless you also choose to purchase a mattress from Amazon that same day as well. Of course the company does not state this in its product description - you either have to go to their website to obtain the warranty policy prior to purchase or read the warranty policy when the item is delivered (which could mean that it is already out of warranty and you are advised to return it immediately within the 30 day return window). The Company's Warranty Department was also kind enough to remind you that this is what "smart" and "well-prepared" customers should do before purchasing their product. I purchased this protector from Amazon in 2016 and had it delivered same-day. A couple days later, I purchased a brand new King size mattress from another vendor. My rationale was that I wanted the protector before the mattress arrived to make certain that the mattress would always be protected. Despite having receipts showing the purchase date for both items (and that the protector was purchased before the mattress), I was denied the ability to file a warranty claim because the items were purchased on separate days from separate vendors. The Company's Warranty Department stated that this product was intended to be sold in retail stores and that is why the policy requires same day, same receipt in order to cover the mattress. When asked why the product is sold on Amazon then, the Company told me that times have changed regarding online retail, but the warranty has not changed and since that is the warranty in effect, then that is what they use. Basically, this warranty is written in a way to make certain that very few consumers can file a warranty claim for their mattress in the event of a failure. Regarding that failure, my toddler was sick one night and threw up on my bed. (Something that happens quite frequently with young kids). However, when I went to remove the mattress protector I found that the throw-up had seeped through and soiled the mattress. I have been unable to clean the stain and the mattress is ruined. (see pictures) The Company did offer a complimentary cleaning kit and a replacement protector. However, they were nice enough to remind me that this was considered "going above and beyond" since my purchase of the protector did not qualify for the warranty and that it was "my choice" whether or not to accept their "generous offer." Basically - DO NOT purchase this protector and expect that it will protect your mattress from any type of water damage or stains. And do not think that the Company will offer any type of assistance with filing a warranty for your soiled/ruined mattress. They sell a product that completely fails in its purpose and do not have the integrity to back up their product.
