EASY BARBERS Barber Shop

Living nearby, I often walk past this place and have always wondered why I rarely see customers inside. Today, I found out why. I arrived at 6:45, near closing. So after I entered I asked if they're still open. The barber looked at me like I was a flower pot and responded with the faintest of nods. After I sat down, the barber proceeded to explain to ME what haircut that I wanted and interrupted me when I tried to explain what I wanted in more detail. He then used what must be the loudest set of clippers I've heard, which painfully caught on my hair multiple times. Rather than apologizing, he muttered some words about me using "gel" (this was definitely not the issue). Fifteen minutes later, he just announced "OK" and then immediately turned off the light. He was not thorough. I asked if he could even out my sides a bit since they were lumpy. Instead, he argued with me, saying it looked "good" at snipped aimlessly at my sides with his scissors to show that they were "even". This is embarrassingly poor customer service. He didn't completely screw up my hair so that merits more than one star, but I'm not coming back.

Been going to Ruben since i was like 11 years old (im 26 now)! Great service great cuts! Highly recommended for all ages!

Shame on me for trying this place. It never has any people in it and the other reviews are clearly fake. Crappiest haircut I’ve received in New York. I would say expect to see this place out of business in 3 months but it’s probably a front for money laundering.

Inexpensive, fast and excellent! The staff of expat Russian barbers have been cutting my hair for over a year since my moving to UES. No frills but haircuts are always spot on. Highly recommend!

A great barber's shop: flawless top-notch haircuts, a very clean, friendly, and stress-free environment, and an entertaining conversation with the master. And there is one extra: you are not going to leave this barber's shop with an empty wallet: the prices are still very reasonable.
