From the moment I met Dr. Margaret Chen I felt at ease. She took time to listen, extended compassion and a warmth that by the time I left her office I felt a weight lifted off of me. This was a challenging time in my life and I am so grateful that I am a patient of Dr. Chen. She is so skilled at what she does coupled with her sincere caring and kindness, this a time that will never be forgotten. She has a special gift as a surgeon and as a person.

Let me tell YOU...if you need any kind of surgical breast care, Dr. Margaret Chen is THE woman you need to see. I had a nodule in my left breast and I was referred to Dr. Chen by my GYN. I'm so grateful I was sent to her. Such a joyful woman with such a serious job. This woman knows her stuff and she and her staff treated me with respect and care. Dr. Chen removed a benign nodule from my left breast two weeks ago and my healing looks so amazing. When she says, "Minimal to no scarring", BELIEVE HER. I already see when my breast heals it will look like nothing ever happened. I'm so grateful for her expertise and care and I HIGHLY recommend her to any woman who is seeking this kind of treatment. You cannot go wrong!

My mom was treated by Dr. Chen and we have only great things to say about her and her office staff! Dr. Chen was so comforting and confident and we would highly recommend her.

Dr. Chen is very knowledgeable about breast cancer and takes care of the patient very well. I am happy that she performed the surgery and I am recovering well.

I’m updating this review. It seems once I posted this review her office called me to “reschedule” my appointments. I guess she wasn’t happy I posted my experience. Clearly money is what is important to get and not the health or feelings of her patients. Save yourself the headache and find another breast specialist NOT using these fake Google reviews Bc clearly doctors have them paid for. The review is mostly for her office. Sadly her front end office staff does not display the same attitude. I was to have a follow up ultrasound and needed the prescription to do so but trying to get the prescription from her office has been troubling to say the least. I was forwarded to the nurse only to get her voicemail Bc the person who answered told me there is nothing in my file. I have hard copy documents from Dr. Chen from my previous appointments with her since joining the northwell team but was told I have nothing on file. When I questioned how could that be when I have physical copies of documents from my visits, she told me they have a new system. I find it very strange and difficult to believe that a Doctor of Dr. Chen’s status would just switch systems and not maintain anything on file for her patients. Dr. Chen performed a surgery years prior in 2015 on me while at a different hospital in NYC. I followed her to Northwell only to be very saddened by the treatment I have endured from her front desk representative. At my first appointment with Dr. Chen I waiting almost one hour AFTER seeing the doctor for the front desk person to print my original prescription. ONE HOUR for a print out. I moved passed it because there are always issues and I was understanding however, after my call today I feel the need to warn patients so they are prepared to deal with the unprofessional and inempt individual at the front desk at her Lake Sucess office.
