**Edit to add** I contacted Dr. Wind and she and the Office Manager, Kathy, have dealt very well with the situation I described below. They listened to my phone call and apologized very genuinely for being turned away. I appreciate their efforts to rectify the situation. *original statement * Tried to make an appointment on a Saturday to have my children tested for strep. I contracted strep back to back within the past 2 weeks so my doctor advised to get my children looked at because they likely had it, but were not symptomatic. I was basically told by the office that I was wasting their time and they had to save appointments for children who are symptomatic. I can understand this, but in my circumstance, my children still need to be looked at. Strep, even if asymptomatic, can be dangerous. I thought the woman on the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. This is the first time in 7 years of going to this office I have been treated like this, but it was very disappointing. I love the doctor we see here, but, am now considering switching to a different practice.

I was recommended to Dr Yan by my OB-GYN. And Im truly grateful and satisfied with her. First off, shes compassionate, empathetic, caring, skillful and very professional. Shes on point. She takes her time and explains everything thoroughly. She even has a good sense of humor. I have never felt rushed through an appointment..whenever my kid/s are ill and Im booking a sick day appointment, my child is asking me if she would be the physician caring for them.. she has left a lasting impression on all of us.. My husband speaks highly of her and believe me, hes very critical.. In 2919 My daughter was very ill symptoms started over the weekend so we took her to Cohen children hospital , she was treated and sent home, but didnt improve two days later we ended up at Dr Yan office who diagnosed my daughter right away my daughter was prescribed the appropriate antibiotics and improved in a few days.. literally she was feeling better and playing in 48 hours. Dr Yan youre AMAZING.. we need more physicians like you..

I went there for a lactation consult. Although I thought she was helpful at the time the billing nightmare I have had to deal with afterwards unfortunately did not make it worthwhile. I was sent a bill for $730. I called the office on several occasions to figure out why I was being billed and the office on several occasions told me that I am not responsible for any bill and just a $40 copayment, which I happily paid. Fast forward 3-4 months later they sent that bill to collections. If I knew I had to pay out of pocket for this I never would have gone. And the fact that I called several times and was never told this is scary. In retrospect I should have just kept putting the baby on the breast to stimulate the milk. Just have confidence that your milk will eventually come in and avoid all headaches with this office.
