These people are jerks. I had applied here for a mechanic position and was told it's not available and was offered a cleaning position took it and a week later they had hired a another mechanic. If any new young mechanics stumble upon this place beware they just want you to sweep and mop rather then teach you and get the hands on training.

I paid $4,000 for a transmission on my old Volvo 850 to be rebuilt and put in and one month after the warranty expired the entire valve body of the Volvo was burned out making the transmission no longer usable. I consulted another mechanic (Robert Spinner, a Volvo 850 specialist) who is a specialist in my Volvo and he was on the phone with me and with Surgical and he asked the question "who was responsible for putting the transmission fluid in the transmission so that this wouldn't happen?" and Surgical's reply was THEY were responsible for putting the transmission fluid in. Obviously, they did not put in the right amount of transmission fluid, so the valve body burned out after me paying all this money ($4000). So my car had to be scrapped. I foolishly went back to them after I purchased another and even a better more powerful t5r series of Volvo of the same model. I had some work done there, and at that point, somehow, my overhead courtesy map light became broken when it was previously working perfectly when I took the car in. I informed the office personnel (Sandra) of the broken switch which they broke and she at that time told me that they would gladly replace the light map fixture since the fixture was now unusable due to the broken switch. After attempting to have them replace the lamp and agreeing to rewrite my previously unfavorable review of their work if they replaced the map light fixture as they had indicated they would, they decided that they (Sandra) were not going to replace my map light fixture thus going back on her word. She claimed to not remember me speaking to her about it. Whether she remembered or not the smart move would have been to replace the lamp for a customer who has spent lots of money there over the 6 YEARS that I had been coming to this shop in order to maintain good customer relations. She felt like I was "strong arming" her. I have spent well over $5,000 in this shop over the years, and I thought that was a most disgraceful way to handle a small complaint. Just replacing what you broke would have been the honorable and smart thing to do. In addition to that, my newer Volvo was experiencing a transmission issue, and their solution was to pour in some sort of transmission treatment, which only made things worse. Eventually, I found a more qualified mechanic who replaced my transmission for a quarter of the price of the first transmission replacement that I had done on my previous Volvo. So not only did I WASTE my $4,000, but I also found a mechanic who would do it for a quarter of that amount and who has enough honesty and integrity to honor their word to a customer. In addition to all of that, my glove box was removed in order to check the blower motor, and the 6 screws were never put back to secure the glove box, so it rattles when driving. Now I have to find the replacements and buy the screws myself in order to put them back in. Again, this is an example of poor workmanship. Donald is a good mechanic, but the unqualified mechanics that work in there are not. My 850t5r now runs perfectly. The takeaway from this is... If you have a lot of MONEY and TIME to WASTE, then this is the shop for you. Especially if you own a Volvo. The SMART way to prevent bad reviews is to communicate. Be HONEST and keep your word and respect the customer and their car. Simple!!! Attached is a photo of my car being towed to the scrap yard after the rebuilt transmission burnt out due to their lack of knowledge. I have lost confidence in this repair shop. One thing that they do correctly is PRINTING OUT YOUR BILL.$$$$
