JBS was amazing! They were so professional, they went out of their way to help us! Just AWESOME service! The guys were great! The ladies in the office were great! I would HIGHLY recommend! Tim was amazing! He came to our house after working all day and then arranged for them to dig up out septic lines the next day! They saved Thanksgiving at my house! Service: Sewer repair

I was referral to this company by an inspector who told me this is one of the good companies in the area. I call for more than a month to schedule an inspection in my property and multiples times they told me that the technician will be at the property. They just waste my time, I don't recommended this company for any project in the Oneonta area, the office people are incompetent and useless.

While I have not hired them out to do any work for me yet, they need to get their act together to earn my business. I was referred to this company by a local soil engineer to install an aerobic septic system. We reached out to them to get a quote on the system with installation and parts. Days had gone by and no one at the office could give us a proper breakdown and quote. Fast forward a few days later, one employee was able to tell us the price of the system. Great. However she said that the system does not include some of the pumps, caps, etc. Fine-- so we reached out again and asked for the prices of these parts and the service costs. She came back with "prices will rise by the end of the year." Thanks for letting me know, but come on? I'm asking for a full service quote. Still no answer after 3 days. I'm only trying to budget for my construction. As contractors, shouldn't they know how budgets for building works? Either this employee is new and inexperienced or they've left the poor young lady to fend for herself without any support or information. This is a red flag to me. They should give their employees enough information to do their jobs. If this employee didn't have the resources to answer this question, someone else should have step in. This is usually a sign of poor organization.

JB Plumbing was recommended to my wife and me by an engineer we'd hired to design our septic system, the engineer had already given us a verbal breakdown of costs related to the installation of the system and insisted we hire JB Plumbing. I contacted JB after receiving the final design plans and asked for a detailed quote. They had a kid call us and I explained what we wanted and didn't want, I then emailed in a copy of the plans. After 4 emails & my asking each time for the quote, we've received nothing. What sent off a red flag was the person emailing me insinuated we should pay in advance (but the job wouldn't be done until spring 2023) due to prices going up next year. There is zero proof of price increases related to the materials, all of which I have sourced myself and talked to other distributors. How does a company think a person would agree to a service and pay for this service in advance without a detailed breakdown of labor/materials or final costs? This is the standard of service most people deal with in Upstate NY and why 90% of the time we end up pulling permits and doing the work ourselves. JB Plumbing and other "Service/Trade Professionals" upstate are really hoping the prospective client is either naive or incapable of performing the work we request quotes on. Plus, to top off the unprofessionalism of the JB representative she stated all warranties would be void if I don't hire them to service and maintain the system. Save your time & have a professional company from a non-rural area quote, you'll find the prices are normally cheaper or about the same.
