Went to the store and was help out by Haleigh...who went above and beyond what she really had to and fixed the issue I had with an online order. The way she took control I asked if she was the Manager and she said no. Personally if I had a store Haleigh would be the person I would have confidence in to run it right.

Store:001111 Date: 08/01/20 Time: 19:55 Register: 11101 Assoc: 1110078 Cashier Name: Jocelyn I arrived at this store around 19:45, being told when I was inside that the store would be closing within thirteen minutes. Upon looking in the store and seeing what I could find within my size, my girlfriend overheard an employee say "I'm trying to leave, these two people in the store GOTTA GO" to which the staff erupted in laughter. Upon hearing that, my wife then questioned "What was the joke?" to which the teenager who said it, ran away. A man in glasses, who claims his name is "Roxy" said "It was just a joke" to which we responded "A joke with who? You or us? Because it wasn't said to us". We informed them we would be making a complaint to corporate. Upon hearing this, the person who checked us out then tried to save face and apologize. We asked who the manager was, which ended up being "Roxy", the grown man who instead of managing a store, lets teenage employees make rude comments about customers shopping BEFORE the store closed. Upon leaving we asked "So is that OK for your employees to make comments like that?" to which he replied "I told her not to say it". I asked "Was this before or AFTER you laughed with them?" and asked for his name. This lack of leadership, is why Modell's closing down doesn't surprise me. Here we have a grown man, who is a "manager", yet fails to manage his team of teenagers and gives the most pathetic reason as to why they feel comfortable to disrespect customers giving MODELL'S their hard earned money. Here lies a grown man, trying to "fit in" with a group of teenagers, instead of learning how to effectively be a leader. Had the stores not been closing down, we would've threw the clothes back on the rack and took our money elsewhere. Only when we told them we would be filing a complaint, did they then stop laughing and tried to "rectify". Also, you should advise your employees, if you have enough courage to make a comment like that, don't run to the back when the customer calls you out on it. Maybe next go round, hire a manager with a backbone. Not a pushover that's clearly unable to run a store, let alone manage a group of teenagers.
