JC Nail & Spa (Jerusalem Ave)

It is a beautiful and clean nail salon. I got a cute SNS powder manicure. Everyone was following Covid-19 rules. And every staff was great! Update: 2nd time visit, while I was in the town visiting family. Nice and quick, James had me and I had a great time! Would recommend for those in the neighborhood.

Repeat customer saying that this place isn't worth the disappointment I faced with no resolution in sight. I wish I could mention a name but she was the only person in the back without a name tag. I ordered a French. Originally, I said I wanted a ombre french which I am used to. I was convinced otherwise and it turns out 3 of my nails look that way anyway. The girl messed up halfway through by spilling powder all over it and didn't even try to fix it. Then didn't shape my nails smoothly they are all bumpy. Of course I was charged for it anyway even though everyone knew about the powder spill. When I said something to the counter they said they didn't see the issue on my nails. I walked out notifying them they lost our family as clients with how they treated me. James the pedicuriest on the other hand is extremely personal and friendly. He goes out of his way for his clients and I hope he goes far. He is funny and puts in extra effort compared to the others even when he isn't prompted to do so.

I have been going to JC since grand opening and have experienced a decline in service. During a pedicure session, the nail tech aggressively rushed through my pedicure, cut the nail bed of one of my toes that resulted in a fungal infection, for which I lost the toe nail. In addition, During my last manicure session, I was sat at a station that still obviously contained the previous customers' nail clippings and shavings, including contaminated nail tech tools. JC nails' pricing is not on the cheaper side, for which their service should match their pricing. Besides my complaints to the manager regarding lack of professionalism during my dip powder session, including but not limited to inconsistent nail shape, shaved cuticle skin left hanging, areas on my nails that were left without clear nail polish, my need for a relaxing experience left me feeling absolutely disgusted and distressed with such unsanitary conditions. I will not be returning to JC nails and do not recommend JC nails to anyone looking for manicure / pedicure needs in a sanitary facility.
