Update 4/9/24: Still the same poor experience here. Came here with friends and could hardly have a conversation due to the noise level. A loud family, also tossing the F word around, made for another bad visit here. Food was good but the patrons of this place are the most ill mannered we've ever encountered in a restaurant anywhere. This was our FOURTH bad visit here. We have been coming here for decades. It was perfect until it was recently renovated. The acoustics are now horrible! The atmosphere is so noisy we can no longer enjoy our visits. Between banging dishes from the open cooking area, and the inconsiderate clientele who think the dining area is their private party area, you can't carry on a conversation at your own table. Noise travels through this place like a freight train! And this has been the issue with every visit since the renovation. What used to be biweekly visits by us will now become rare occurrences. I feel bad for the owners that they made poor choices in materials during their remodeling project. We will really miss this place.

Great food. Nice views of Lake Mahopac. The back private room is cozy.
