It was very solid as a Mexican joint. I wasn't blown away though. Maybe the pricing brought my mood down. They could stand to take a $1 off pretty much everything.

The service was fine, but the place was a little over the top, and the food was mediocre at best. There is enough food in one plate to serve a whole family and it didn't have a ton of flavor. Tried it to try it but wont go back.

Short answer: go to the mission. it tastes a lot better for around the same price. Do not eat here. This place was VERY bad. The $11 nacho app. we had was obviously microwaved. Quite bland and mushy. We couldn't finish it even though we were starving. I ordered chile rellenos ($15). I was shocked at what came out for a $15 dollar pepper. It became immediately clear that the pepper itself had been prepared hours before, then stuffed with awful, cold ingredients before they brought it out. The cheese pepper was unmelted. The chicken pepper was actually even colder. My fiancée and I were both trying to nail down what (bad) flavor the chicken had. We settled on canned tuna. She had a 'burrito'. Very unappetizing looking, about a 12 inch tortilla with nothing else on the plate. Also we were assured through other reviews that it was indeed normal to not have folded ends. Right. I would not eat here again for free. Honestly this was the single worst dining experience we have had in recent memory. I wanted to warn folks on their way in, so please, don't eat here.
