Sherwood House Vineyards

Walked in at 6:20 pm young lady said “I think we can seat you but let me just double check with my manager”. Guy approaches me and with no hesitation says “we’re booked”. Doesn’t ask me how many, whether or not we want wine / dinner, etc. He couldn’t have been any more less accommodating. Completely dismissive. With so many wineries on north fork it’s clear why this one has lesser reviews and why you should spend time elsewhere. Also I tried calling ahead of time but the phone goes to an automated voicemail from a guy explaining rules for about 10 minutes. Really wanted to like this place :(

Amazing time. Beautifully designed and landscaped. Wines were great. Staff was even better. Each room has its own theme. Very relaxing. We will definitely return.

We were asked if we had reservations. We didn't. The server asked the manager and we were accommodated. Upon seeing the price for trading I was ready to leave. I thought $15 was a good price for tasting. Although there were 6 wines on the tasting menu. I guess you'd pay more for 6, typically 4 from my experience. Any way, the day was perfect. The fall colors and feel were glorious. It was quiet despite having other patrons nearby. The wine was quite yummy. The menu was taken away so I couldn't follow which wines I liked. I took a self guided stroll around the inside. It's lovely. There are plenty of little nooks for close conversation with friends. (When the inside is open) Take a stroll around the art gallery for a nice North Fork experience.
