Jake has been a terrific host for me and my friend after a very long day. The food was excellent, very tasty and filling. Jake managed to make us laugh on multiple occasions despite being absolutely exhausted and impatient. Jake's services was purely superb - recommending it 100%

I would have to agree with most of the negative reviews here, an my wife and I have been here under both the Old and the new Ownerships. And there is NO question that the prior, old ownership ran a much better restaurant.The Drinks here were $16.00 dollars each, the portions ere kind of small, and their signature dish  the Halibut Fish is now much to watery, when it used to be excellent. But this was to be expected when the prior Chef left, and they hired a new one who does seem to be nearly as good. Also I heard that the new own  owner is a Lady who previously came from a Vegan Luncheonette.  So  this would be a tremendous new venture for a inexperienced person to step into. Its a pity, because this was once a very good place that has not lived up to it's reparation.

We had a reservation at Pearl last night. Our reservation was for 6 people at 7pm.  We arrived a few minutes early. We requested and were not guaranteed the round table.  We were offered a table where one seat was literally in the entrance walkway.  I expressed disappointment and was advised the people at the round table were "wrapping up" and we could sit at the lounge.   At 720 / 730 we were told the manager had "dropped the check".  At 8pm we again asked how much longer we would wait.  That's when everything went downhill.   The owner Kelly appeared and said every negative thing she could about my situation.   She looked on her app and informed me I canceled 22 reservations which is irrelevant to the situation.  This morning I confirmed that last night was my 20th reservation.  Apparently I've also spent over $4,000 at the restaurant.We were finally seated at a table, not the round one and the manager appeared multiple times to check on plus and indicated he would ensue we had an enjoyable evening.The food was good. The menu is updated. The appetizers were better than dinner.  The halibut was a bit disappointing over peppered and the potato crust was limp.  The pork chops were delicious.  The Pearl special dessert is off the menu and so to is the yogurt and honeyWhen the check arrived we did think perhaps the management would compliment a round of drinks or dessert.   And not a penny was dropped from the check.  I mentioned this to the manager that for all his talk and our one hour delay and making sure we had a pleasant evening, that nothing was complimentary .   He said there was nothing he could do. The owner was on premises and could have done something if the manager can'tI asked to speak to the owner and as I was waiting another man approached my husband.  When my husband asked who he was he told us " I'm the guy who is going to kick your ass."Finally the owner approached and I shook her hand to say in addition to the previous $4000 I spent in her restaurant we spend $100 for drinks waiting for our table and $600 on dinner.  That's the last penny Pearl will ever see from me.Bad customer service and apparently zero interest in fostering a community of local patronsWe also have a $400 gift certificate that is not eligible for use becuae of some other issueI miss the previous owners and I doubt the situation last night would have escalated in the same manner with them
