First, what bbq joint only serves grass fed small farmed chicken, beef, and pork! That's all I'll eat! No factory farmed meat for me! Low and slow deliciousness. The pulled pork was superb. I used my favorite store bought sauces cuz I got it to go. Their sauces could use some improvement but the smoked flavor and quality of the meat was a 10. I'm picky about my cole slaw and collard greens. I'm a southerner. I really enjoyed theirs! Slaw was fresh, tasty dressing. Not too  mayonnaisey. Greens had tons of sweet and sour. Not overcooked. Light on the meat flavor so a perfect complement to the pulled pork. I really enjoyed it all!

Visiting the town, so stopped by for a quick lunch! The owners really care about this place and were very sweet, so I just want to leave some feedback because it has a lot of potential. The brioche bun on the brisket sandwich was extremely cold, as if it had been kept in the refrigerator, and it made for a very unpleasant contrast with the warm brisket. The Carolina sauce, while very tasty and tangy, was minimal. For a small $15 sandwich, I'd expect a toasted bun. Brisket itself was okay - under-seasoned and good texture. The slaw was also tasty, but barely there. The short rib pieces we got were almost pure fat and severely under-seasoned. I understand that it's good to let the meat shine, but salt is also a part of that process. $20 for mainly fat was disappointing. The brocoli rabe was the best part - served warm, tons of flavour, and provided some contrast to the rest of the meal. 2 small meat dishes and a side of veggies, 2 drinks + tip came out to $50. We ate it all (minus the cold bun) because it was expensive and didn't want to waste food. Hope to see the place improve!

Farm Eats has a bit of an unorthodox approach to BBQ. They don't douse your meat in chain-restaurant syrupy stuff, nor make it mouth-numbingly hot. In fact they are practically agnostic as to sauce. They start with local, high-quality meat, apply basic seasoning and cook it just right. Then they give you a few sauces on the side, ranging from smoky and peppery to vinegary. We tried the pulled pork, "burnt ends" (not burnt, just browned) and the beef. All were excellent (beef was a bit salty for me, but the rest of my family liked it). The sandwich rolls, coleslaw, and garlicky potatoes were all rich and tasty. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy great food and support local farmers at a very reasonable price.
