We really enjoyed our5 th stay at Nelson’s cottages. What keep bringing us back is the tranquil atmosphere. We love the cabins that become a home away from home. You get the full Adirondack experience, I am long past my camping years but the cottages let us feel like we are not staying at a fancy place but a beautiful place with gorgeous flowers, fantastic views, a wonderful floating dock and the nicest people. Everyone we have ever meet at Nelson are friendly and happy. The Nelson family are perfect hosts and provide a special environment for all their guests,everything is so Clean and relaxing. They even have a lot of kids activities, and a sandy beach. Nelson’s cottages are our happy place. We WILL be back. Michele Rochester NY area

My wife and I have stayed a few times at Nelson's and we loved every time we have been. We haven't been to the ADK since our first son was born, but we are hoping we can make a trip up there this summer, and we will definitely be looking into staying here! Update: We have been going to Nelson's for many years now. This is the third time we have brought our sons, and we go home, sad that we have to go home. Seriously, our sons love playing on the little playground, and then in the sand on the beach. This is our family trip now, every year, where we are already planning on going back NEXT year. I highly recommend this place to all my friends. :)

Upon arriving for our stay we were greeted by Julie and immediately felt like family. We (my husband and I) had the Washington cottage and found it clean, cozy and comfortable. The Nelson’s and Tommy take great care of this beautiful property. There are many non motorized watercraft available for your use and plenty of fun toys for children to play with in the lake. You can be as busy as you want or kick back and relax in one of the chairs available on the property. If you are looking for a nice place to hang your hat for a bit in the Adirondacks, check out Nelson’s Cottages on 4th Lake, you will not be disappointed!

Nelson's Cottages is a perfect get away, my daughter brought me here July 2021. Our cottage had two full size beds with enough room for our gear and private clean bathroom, small fridge plus microwave. Cute front porch with two comfy chairs plus in front of it a table with 4 chairs (no roof over it but it didn't rain) The price was reasonable, small swim area and kayaks with life jackets too! The sunsets are Amazing, camp fire there too Julie works hard to keep it all working smooth! About an hour from old Forge and minutes from Mt. Bald. Check out Ace Hardware their hoodies and t-shirts were a steal!
