We recently worked with Almstead to remove two large trees that were being killed by bugs. The team was very professional, careful to preserve the landscaping around the trees, and mindful of our property. They also trimmed several trees that now look so much better! After that, we had Almstead come back to treat our Hemlocks for infestation. The two technicians that came out were very friendly and knowledgeable about the treatment and trees on the property and were very patient with my many questions. We also use Almstead for an ongoing lawn program.

NEED TO KNOW:*** AVOID AT ALL COSTS!  *** PATRICK McVEY & CRYSTAL PHINN TREATED ME HORRIBLY LIKE THEY WERE DOING ME A FAVOR*** PATRICK McVEY TOLD ME HE WOULD DO THE WORK "AT A TIME OF HIS CONVENIENCE"*** I WONDERED WHO THE CUSTOMER WAS & WHO WAS PAYING WHO*** THEY WERE UNRESPONSIVE & DID NOT GET BACK TO ME FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, ALWAYS HAVING SOME EXCUSE*** WILL NEVER USE YOU AGAINThe details:I used Almstead Tree & Shrub Care Co to remove a stump in my front yard in the spring of 2021.  Patrick McVey came to my house to do an estimate & he was as professional & nice as can be.   I had several things for them to do.  All of the jobs combined were approx. $6,000.  They required a 30% deposit.  Very fair & standard.After getting the deposit, Patrick McVey's personality changed & he treated me like garbage & like he was my boss.They did the stump removal & did a HORRIBLE, SLOPPY JOB.They did not clean up:- They left blue surgical / Covid masks on my lawn.- They left stump parts everywhereThat's not just my opinion.  That's the opinion of:- 3 landscapers- 2 contractors- 1 electrician- 2 other tree guysWhen I contacted Patrick by phone & email to let him know that I was not happy with the stump grinding work and that his team left a mess, PATRICK McVEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. Then, I needed him to remove a tree.He told me he would do the work "AT A TIME OF HIS CONVENIENCE" & repeatedly treated me horribly.I had someone else do the work at a time of my convenience.Almstead: Because of how Patrick McVey decided to be an alpha male & treat me poorly, you lost $6,000 worth of work.Bye Almstead!
