Excellent meal on a quick takeout, and they offered me extra guacamole when I asked for no sour cream. The food was delicious and the portion was generous. Sit down dining could be a bit slower when I visited last year, but the food was just as fantastic as I remembered when I returned this year. I had a great local beer on draught while I waited for my food to be ready, and I'm looking forward to going back in a few weeks. La Iguana is a gem of downtown Hamilton, laid out in plain sight. If you're there for a swim meet or other Colgate-based event, you might be tempted to just hustle out of town after a long weekend on campus. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a relaxing meal you'll remember and be glad you took the time to enjoy.

I came there Saturday, Aug. 4th. I loved the food. Server seemed agitated due to great business. I overheard she was the only one here when greeting a table. When bringing my food out she taped a sign on the door saying kitchen is closed from 2:30 to 4:00. I asked her why and so paused then told me they had to make food for dinner. I've been in the restaurant business for over 25 years and if someone closed my kitchen on a day where I can make a profit I would be livid and fire the whole staff. Food was great though and this place deserves to be busy.
