My son loves Spirit Taekwondo. Best place for the kids to learn discipline and confidence .Staff is amazing they just go above and beyond for every kid to strive for their best.

My son and I LOVE our STKD family. Master Starnes is AMAZING! He leads the kids with love and rules, and is an excellent teacher, communicator and leader. Year long contract at around $1,900 per child is the membership option and is paid in installments. We paid in full so it was $1,500ish. I do not suggest doing that. Thats quite a bit of money for the average person to fork over per child.. especially in todays economic climate. They have a really cheap/free class and shirt deal and after that class youre taken into the sales office and offered the above. Payments must be made only in cash or check and there are no refunds, credits, etc. I believe the uniform was $140, boards at $3 each for days they do board breaking and belt tests are $70. Seems belt tests are given every 3-4 weeks so long as the child is on track. Ive recently bumped into other parents at my kids school whove said they got locked into 3 year contracts where they paid upfront and I didnt even know that was legal to do. Unfortunately, we only got to use 35 of the 90 sessions we paid for and likely wont be able to use the rest due to some logistics that were present at the time of signing the contract. Ultimately, we went against our gut feeling of committing to a year and it ended up going how we figured it would..Nothing personally against them but we dislike contracts and generally always steer clear of year long contracts as a whole. We were desperate to have our child learn discipline and have an outlet and literally the year long contract is the only real choice so we caved. I believe if you want to do pay as you go that each class is $27 and obviously nobody is going to pay that for a group class. Not sure if thats still an option. We only wish there had been more options to actually use the remaining sessions or that it was more of a monthly membership at most but unfortunately the only option would have meant us paying for more sessions and that didnt make sense. Our loss! I believe they have a monthly plan. Id try that before forking over that much money for the year. I really wish it could have worked out.
