Prof. Rob is an amazing instructor. He is able to explain in specific detail how and why each movement is done in a certain way. A class is not just the move of the day, but an in-depth study of a positionspider guard, taking the back; side control; x-guard; etcand all the different possible transitions from each position that can be achieved through proper form. He truly is a Professor of BJJ, and I highly recommend training with him.

As a parent and also a student of ECU Queens Academy for the past 8 years, I have found this dojo to be a rigorous and challenging place while simultaneously being an environment of support and encouragement. Here, belts are earned, not given and every achievement is purely based off of the hard work and persistence you put in. The upper belts are committed to helping out and rolling with any students. Overall, this place has become part of my extended family. Couldn't ask for a better BJJ dojo that provides In depth instruction, promotes hard work, and a supportive family environment that cultivates confidence, humility, and self respect. Oss

Excellent school for people of different ages and skill levels. Professor Rob and Coach Vianca have set a great training environment. They roll with the students, they break down techniques in detail, and are passionate about their craft.

Great environment to learn jiu Jitsu! Every time I visit, I am welcomed by the coaches and students alike and treated as one of the team. Coach Vianca hosts the ECU womens open mat, creating an opportunity for women from other schools/affiliations to come together, learn new technique, and create new partnerships. The coaches are always open to help and answer questions. Highly recommend stopping by for a class!
