Highly Recommended ! Visited on a Saturday Morning around 10am and to our delight they still had what I was there for (dominican breakfast) as well as early’ish spread of all their steam table offerings. Evertz Cafe immediately feels like home as soon as you walk in thanks to the warm welcome, kind / attentive service, and cultural representations of the island life in the Dominican Republic. Eating something like dominican breakfast anywhere but home is always something that naturally has a certain amount of shortcoming, until this morning at Evertz Cafe. The mangu was soft, silky, and buttery, the company of its fried friends from the egg, to the longaniza, to the salami, and finally the fried cheese were all perfectly cooked and topped with caramelized red onions that had what seemed like a very pleasant citrus finish to them sealed the deal for me. I couldn’t believe I enjoyed as much as I did considering how high one’s standards can be when you grow up eating this cooked to order by our mothers. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of their menu, food tastes and eats like a home cooked meal which is a rare treat when produced in volume for most places. Don’t have a picture to post because of how fast the food was devoured, thanks Evertz Cafe for an amazing breakfast.
